I'm baaack - 2nd draft

Sooo I am back to my beautiful-still-undone-magazine. I came back quite fresh, relieved that one project is done. Now I need to focus all my attention and creativity on this. It has to be done in..whaat? 2 weeks? :|

Started my 2nd article about Fashion Week. Every day I realize that is quite hard to create a magazine on your own especially when I am not spontaneous (I have to think a lot). I am really struggling with the layout and no matter what I create I think it's doesn't look good. I feel like it looks cheap and then when I look at other people's work on layouts and etc I feel like quitting haha. I feel stupid. I am not going to give up though. No matter what I end up with I will try to do my best!!

trying to choose the images from London Fashion Week

This is what I have got so far:

  • these are drafts of what I have done from the first one till the last one. The last draft looks incomplete. I am going to take some bits from there and work with them as I can't leave it like that.

that red side frame looks amateurish. don't like it.

I don't like the black rectangle. it's useless there, it doesn't create any effect.  I like the 2nd image. it looks fresh and simple but the white font looks very good against the red image.

again, no triangle needed.

the text size is too big compared to the size of the page.

I saw this kind of layout  in a tutorial and I was interested in applying to my image. It looks ok but I wouldn't use it. I feel something is missing from it, like it's incomplete.

The font that I used is called "Painted"

I used this type of font because I wanted to make the article like a story and this font looks a bit calligraphic which reminds me of stories - hand written story.
