This is the main article as it features Steffi who's on the cover as well. Because she's Asian, I wanted to bring a bit of that to the article. I created a white rectangle and I put it on top of the image so that it creates a really nice frame.
I needed special fonts as well so I started looking and looking and after an 1 or 2 I finally managed to find some really nice one, all Asian.
I changed the image on the right because I wanted the one from the cover to be the first the reader sees. I named the article "Oriental Rose" because she is obsessed with red she is really shy and after she gets used to the situation she starts talking and laughing. It's like a rose when it starts opening its petals, oriental because she's Asian, from that part of the world. I like what I have done a lot. If I was to compare this with my mock-ups the only thing I can say is" hahahah" :) I am glad I stopped messing around with paper and started doing real work :)
I used the "Chinese Takeaway" fonts for this; there is that space between the 2 words which looks similar to the one between her fingers - that's interesting, I think :)
Part 2
- this is the second spread. It was easy to do, surprisingly. My magazine is based on shapes and frames and stripes and lines etc. As I said from the beginning I loved them a lot and their aesthetics and I do believe they help create a good and interesting layout like in the right page. I love that.
- 3rd spread - I am starting to love those frames and be addicted to them. They are very elegant but at the same time they can make the layout very interesting and appealing. I added some text as well as I didn't want the article to be just images and for more red I added some red circles and put them on every "red" word. Sweet! :) Used Adobe Garamond as said.
Part 3
- used those lovely frames again and put the title at the end to look like a signature. I think that looks cool! :)
