I am starting to be better at working in In Design. I feel better now. :) This is the beauty editorial that I had a mock-up for. It looks so much better in this version haha. I tried to play with the triangles until I found the right position.
in this one, I wanted to make like a full bleed to add text but I couldn't get the same colour in the right. There is a small difference between the 2 backgrounds.
I tries using the red thick line to mask the difference but if you pay attention to the line you can see the 2 colours. I don;t think that would be visible when I printed anyway because a few mm will go in the binding so that won't be visible but still I wanted something else.
I tried to play with shapes and text to get the right one. I made the shape on the right pink-- I wanted a lighter red which obviously becomes pink but didn't like it. the layout is supposed to be red. :)
And I played with them until I got this which I really like. I made the shape ascending because the creative make-up is supposed to make you look better so it's kind of going up from normal to a creative make up. I also like how the thin frame looks as if it's coming out of the red shape to show something like: Eh Voila!! haha
I used this font for the title. I think it goes well with her face and the layout.
