Cover practice

The cover is usually done after you have got, if not all, at least 80% of your articles. But then, I though that I don't want to make it look like every cover on the market with loads of titles etc. I want it simple and I want the image and the title to make the reader be interest in in. I had to look for several fonts that would suggest the idea of "obsession".

But none of them were exactly what I was looking for. Until I found this one.

Harris Wear

I do like it a lot. The letters are not linear, it feels like someone has painted those letters over and over again. It looks really bold and imposing.There is clearly something going on there. Plus, the colour red makes it more obvious and it makes it stand out. One of the meanings of red is that it makes your heart beat harder when you see it. So all these added together make the title successful, I believe.

I can't really see  "magazine" very well. the font is not very good.

Now the font is so much better but I don't know if I should use "magazine". it looks pointless, I think. It's quite disturbing.

This looks much better.

As I said, I wanted to use the layout to make the viewer become interested. I played a bit with the shapes and I also wanted to have another element to interact with the viewer.
