2nd draft - part 3

Part 3

  • this the last spread for that designer. From just putting the images like in the first draft, I got to combining them a bit to give a bit of effect and I added the red thick stripe. I do think it looks cool.

  • I also added the full image. I love the close-up. It gives you insight on the collection because you can see the details in the dress which are amazing. I love that collection. I wish I could afford one of those dresses. haha.. Now back to the images. I do like how her website looks there. I didn't think it was necessary to ask all the designers if I can feature them in my magazine as long as I have taken the images. The only thing, though, that I did is to put their website there. I think that's enough.

Part 4

I wanted to have like a shape to fill the page as it was too much white space. I wan't really sure how good that looks so I made another one, this time more "normal".

This is the final draft. The triangle looks better. I used the same font or the titles, Adobe for the info. I chose the multiply option to create a sort of like reddish effect on the images. It looks good I think. I put the text between frames to make it look arranged in page. looks quite elegant.

Part 5

 - for the next bit, I wanted to create like a shape layout to put the images in but it wasn't that successful so I gave up to it :(

that looks horrible :D

  • I decided to combine the images again to have continuity. I added a red shadow so make the red stand out. I used the same font (Katy Berry).

  • I did the same thing for the right page so I don't have all sorts of shapes and layouts. I said I would rather go with something similar to have continuity rather than confuse the reader. I used the same font for the title and for the websites I used 'Adobe Garamond" which I am going to use for all the text in the magazine as it looks clean and readable.
