I tried to create it in Photoshop. I was thinking of going for the short version of Obsess. And as I said before the small "S" comes from the 2 "ss" at the end of the word. I chose a random image and I applied the title to that image to see how it looks and to see where I should position it.
I created 2 versions but I prefer the one on the right. It looks more professional.
However, I showed these 2 versions to my friend and he was quite reluctant. He said that he likes the "s" in the interior of the "O" letter but he is not quite sure about the rest because if I didn't tell him that the concept is obsessions he wouldn't know and relate to that theme. I knew he was right but still I do like how it looks. I tried doing other version, a more explicit version:
One is simple, the other one has got the "S" inside the "O" letter. As much as I love the first version, I do think that my friend is right. Not many people will know at the beginning what may magazine is about so I better have something that people will understand right away.
So I have got this 2. Now, which one do I keep?..
After consulting my friend again, quite helpful actually, I decided that I am going to keep the one on the left as the title of the cover and because I love how the"S" looks inside the "O" and I am not going to reject that version. Instead, I am going to use the "O" as my logo. What about that?
